Life’s a Climb but the View is Great – your Free Friday workout

We did an awesome hike today with the dogs

 

We had a choice of the boundary track

Or

The steep track

Of course we took the steep track

 

And Yep it was steep

Going up the dogs were bounding away

As it got tough I kept thinking

This is a million times better then any stairmaster or step ups

 

Just think about how good the legs are going to look and feel

We got to the top and the view was awesome

It was so worth it

The first thing I said was

 

“Lifes a climb but the view is great” – ha ha

 

It got me thinking that its kind of like weight loss and toning up

Its can be a tough climb with many obstacles to defeat

But once you get there its SWEET..and so worth it.

A “Priceless” feeling.

 

SO today’s workout is inspired by my hike

Strong legs and a Strong core and Shoulders for carrying a back pak

 

If you can’t do your own hike this weekend gives this workout a go

 

It’s a 4 x 10 rep workout

 2 exercises per set

 

Example:

Spider Pushups and Side plank rotations

Do 10 Spider pushups followed by 10 side plank rotations each side – that’s 1 set

Do 4 sets in total and then move on to the next cardio blast and paid of exercises

 

CARDIO:

If you have access to cardio equipment choose your favourite, treadmill. Rower, X-Trainer. Spin Bike

If you do not have access to cardio equipment that’s OK as you can still get in an awesome workout

Just do an interval run for 5 mins or interval stationary cardio exercises  – Mountain climbers, jump rope, jog on spot, star jumps

–        e.g: 50 Seconds ON and 10 Seconds REST – repeat for 5 mins

 

START

 

1) 5 min Cardio

4 x 10 rep

Spiders Pushups and Side Plank Rotations (1o each side)

 

2) 5 min Cardio

4 x 10 reps

Side Raises and Weighted back lunges

 

3) 5 min Cardio

4 x 10 reps

front Raises and Weighted side step ups

 

4) 5 min Cardio

4 x 10 reps

Decline pushups and Bench Hops
