Today I am EXCITED to share Leesa’s story with you

Leesa is a VIP member and quiet achiever.

What I ADMIRE most about Leesa is when she joined my program (like every other Response Mode Success story) she just followed it.

There was no self doubt or  looking for ways of changing it or making excuses

Leesa just decided to trust the process and MAKE it HAPPEN

She not only made it happen FAST she has easily been able to make it a Long Term Sustainable lifestyle..

Tell me a little about yourself

My name is Leesa and I am 46 years old, married and mum of two boys aged 12 and 14.

I work 5 days a week as an accountant so spend far too many hours in front of a computer!!

Before you you became a VIP member and joined the Response Mode Program how did you feel about yourself?
I guess my journey is a little different to most because I only needed to lose a small amount of weight.

I was starting to always feel tired and my clothes were sneakily getting tighter.

I never had a problem with weight gain when I was pregnant (morning sickness took care of that!) but as the years went by my weight was gradually going up and up.

I knew a little bit of weight gain each year was not going to be pretty in the long run.

 

What was the turning point that made you decide – YES I am going to change my body and get into shape?
I have always been someone who does some sort of exercise so I didn’t need any motivation to get moving.

A couple of years ago I decided I would like to become a runner.

I wanted to be able to run for 5kms so started a running plan. I was doing ok but it never made me feel any better and it was always felt like such a struggle.

It just wasn’t for me.

So I decide to look at other options eg interval training to get faster results.

I stumbled across Miss Fitness Life on Facebook and thought I’d have a bit of a read!!

Well all of the things I read on Vix’s website just made so much sense to me.

I thought I was pretty savvy when it came to nutrition and fitness but I have learnt so much more.

I thought of all of those people who went to group fitness classes like me and how their body shape rarely changed even though they were going multiple times a day/week.

I loved how she explained it is possible to change your body composition.

There is such a thing as skinny fat.

It was like a light bulb moment as I had finally found a program that would suit me so I thought why not give it a go.

So I signed up…

So how long have you been following the Response Mode Program?
I signed up in July 2013.

I got stuck into the exercises straight away.

I felt like I could barely move after each workout for about 2 weeks but for some reason I still felt great!!!

 

Tell me about some of the physical changes that you have noticed on the program?
I hadn’t noticed any great change on the scales but thought I would get my son to take some new photos of me after only 6 weeks. The difference really blew me away!!

 

What are the biggest positive changes you have noticed as a result of the being part of the program?
I couldn’t believe how quickly my stomach started to flatten.

Friends would say ‘So have you being doing lots of sit ups etc?’

and I’d say no actually!!

Clothes I hadn’t worn for years were fitting easily and that is a damn good feeling and a big motivator!

 

What part of your body did you want to change the most?
Removal of the muffin top!!

 

Where do you do your workouts – home or gym and how do you fit them in your schedule?
I started working out at home.

I did have some equipment and just added some heavier weights.

I recently joined a new gym that opened in my town so now do both.

If I have to run my kids to sports training after school I will get up early and workout at home or go to the gym after work or on the weekends.

 

How do you find the weekly workout structure and new workouts you get each week as a VIP member?
I need variety to stay motivated.

The workout structure and new workouts are perfect for me.

I download them to my Iphone, have a bit of a read as to what I’m up for and away I go!

I try to fit in at least 4 workouts a week.

 

How do you stay focused and motivated?
Just feeling fitter and healthier keeps me motivated.

Reading the forums on the VIP site is extremely motivating too.

If I’m feeling stuffed during a workout I picture other members banging the reps out and just get on with it.

 

How do you handle the family meals?
My kids eat fairly healthy so it isn’t too bad.

If the kids do want take away I get my hubby to cook us one of his amazing omelettes for us instead or just choose a healthier take away option.

 

Do you ever have any blowouts with food and if so how did you move forward?

I still stuff up with chocolate and lollies every now and then but just go back to the plan ASAP.

I know I can make the refuel day suit me if I am going out for lunch or getting together with friends for a drink. It’s pretty flexible really.

 

Tell me about your experiences and interactions on the VIP members site?
I love the VIP member’s site.

It kind of feels like one big happy family!!

Everyone is on their own personal journey but are willing to provide so much support for each other.

I love seeing other member’s progress. I feel like a fraud with so little weight to lose, some members have been incredibly committed.

I have showed photo’s of Nicky (click here to see Nicky’s Transformation) to so many friends and love seeing their reaction because they are blown away by the results that can be achieved.

 

 What would you say to anyone who is thinking about starting the Response Mode Program but isn’t sure?

The members are proof the program works.

It’s real women getting these amazing results.

I always have a giggle when a new member starts questioning the volume of food they are eating or whether they should be doing other exercise too.

The answer is always to trust the process because it works!!
